SCHENGEN VISIT VISA
A Schengen Visit Visa (Type C) is a short-term visa issued for purposes such as tourism, business
visits, attending events, or visiting family and friends. It is designed for individuals who wish to stay
temporarily within the Schengen Area and do not intend to work or reside there permanently. The visa
is generally valid for up to 6 months, allowing a stay of up to 90 days (3 months) within any 180-day
period. A single-entry Schengen Visa permits entry into the Schengen Area once during its validity;
however, with one valid Schengen visa issued by any member country, travelers can move freely
across all 29 Schengen countries without needing separate visas, as the internal borders within the
Schengen Zone are open for visa holders.
